COMMUNITY SERVICES
Community Investment
The United Way of Carlisle and Cumberland County funds over 40 programs that meet our community’s most pressing needs. Every summer and fall volunteers are recruited to serve on panels to review programs and make funding decisions. Volunteers serve on one of the following 5 funding panels:
- Shelter & Supportive (Basic Needs) Services
- Adult Education & Self Sufficiency
- Early Care & Education – administered by Success by 6
- Supportive Services for Adults and Families
- Youth Intervention
Panel volunteers make site visits at the programs assigned to their panel, review budget and program applications, program outcomes (results) and make final funding decisions.
