United Way of Carlisle & Cumberland County has familywize prescription drug discount cards available to help you better manage your healthcare expenses. These reusable discount cards provide immediate savings on prescription drugs. The discount card is distributed free of charge nationwide by the Family Wise Partnership, participating United Ways and other organizations. This is not insurance but a discount card only. On average, individuals with NO prescription coverage may enjoy a 20% savings. Those with prescription coverage may enjoy other savings.

In calendar year 2009, 889 residents of Carlisle presented the card at participating pharmacies and saved a total of $19,094 on their prescription medicines.
